Ron Kraan is an Australian tree removal company based in
Cardinia Shire. We have over 30 years experience in all aspects of
tree removal and revegetation of land. Operating throughout
Victoria, we offer highly professional service specialising in
the removal of dangerous trees, particularly trees situated in
confined spaces such as near buildings or power lines.
Since
the mid 1970’s Ron Kraan, the owner and managing director of
the company, has been at the forefront of developing
strategies that both protect the environment and meet
stringent safety standards. Through applying this formula
Kraan Contracting is able to offer its customers an efficient,
cost effective solution that does not compromise either safety
nor the environment.
Health
& Safety:
Whilst maintaining the current Occupational Health and Safety
Act and the Code of Practice for Safety in Forest Operations
we undertake ongoing audits of all our procedures, operations,
employees and machinery.
A full site inspection and risk management assessment is
always carried out prior to the commencement of any works and
necessary risk controls put into practice.

Equipment:
All of our machinery is of a very high standard and has been
assessed by a qualified assessor for Risk Hazards and was
found to be of the highest order, largely modern and very well
maintained. All of our excavators and/or loaders are fully
equipped with steel roll-over cages, forest protection and
fire suppression systems.

excavators purposely designed by Ron Kraan to provide state of
the art operational safety features. Komatsu have since sent
photos of our finished machines to their Head Office and were
highly impressed with our safety guarding etc.

large set of harrows for revegetation of a very wide area in
one passing.

loader/log skidder with low ground pressure tyres offering
minimal ground compaction taking the environment into
consideration

We are also currently developing
a “supa mulcher” for extreme size timber. We expect to
significantly reduce existing mulching costs due to its unique
manoeuvrability and transportation system.

Environment:
Recognising that our day-to-day activities can impact on our
environment, community and economy, we work hard to manage our
business development enhancing opportunities and choices
available for generations to come.
Our machinery and equipment have been purposely designed and
built with careful consideration for impact upon our
environment. Our purpose built loader/log skidder has low,
ground pressure tyres in order to minimise ground compaction
with its large harrows being designed to cover larger areas in
one passing, thereby not only increasing productivity but
reducing fuel emissions.
After felling, we place high importance on the rehabilitation
prospects of the land. In order to stabilise the soil and
reduce soil erosion, we fertilise and reseed areas, lay mulch
from any removed timber back over the land and install
windrows.
